New bus service announcment from LCC - TIMETABLE

Further to the community engagement events which took place in June, we have been considering the comments received prior to finalising the new timetable and route for the additional school journeys.

The new service will commence from Tuesday 27 August 2019 and incorporate a school journey to Market Bosworth School in the morning and afternoon.

Library Swap Stop - Coming Soon

Swepstone Parish Council have installed a new red phone box on Main Street, Newton Burgoland which will serve the parish as a "Library Swap Stop".

The parish were lucky enough to receive a combination of a kind donation from a parishioner, plus grant money to provide us all with the opportunity to upcycle the books we no longer read, and to treat ourselves to a new book.

With the fundraising efforts by everyone on the day, and sponsorship money kindly donated by Aggregates UK, the event raised £421.81 to our local Air Ambulance!!!
