Parish Council Meeting Date Change

NOTICE - PARISH COUNCIL MEETING DATE CHANGE

Please be advised that the December Parish Council meeting date has changed.

The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 11th December at 8:00pm in Newton Burgoland Congregational Church and not the 18th December as planned.

The meeting agenda and minutes will be posted on the parish council website beforehand

Road closure on Main Street, Newton Burgoland - January 2020

Leicestershire County Council have made us aware of a planned road closure on Main Street, Newton Burgoland.

The Closure is set to take place on the week commencing 6th January for 5 days and will be between the junction of School Lane and Shackerstone Lane.

Full access will be maintained on School Lane as well as traffic marshals being on site to assist road users around the works.

From 1 December 2019, NWLDC will collect used batteries and mobile phones with household recycling collections.

This information has been communicated to residents on the back of the Christmas/2020 collection calendars and in the household recycling guide enclosed with the calendars.

PLANNED ROAD CLOSURE - NEWTON BURGOLAND

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for Main Street, Newton Burgoland.

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely facilitate drainage works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure and parking restrictions.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of five days commencing on the 6th January 2020.

FRANCIS LANE CLOSURE

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order.

A road closure is required on Francis Lane on the 18th November 2019 for two days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate trail holes and explorations for a water leak.
